Cotera provides several convenient ways to navigate to the column editing interface, so you can choose the method that fits your workflow best. All paths lead to the same column editing page.

## Method 1: From the Dataset Sidebar

In the left sidebar, locate the dataset that contains your column. Click the **arrow** next to the dataset name to expand it like a folder, revealing all the columns within that dataset. Simply click on the column name you want to edit.

This method works great when you're browsing your datasets and want to quickly access specific columns.

## Method 2: Using the Command Palette

Open the Command Palette with `Command + K` (Mac) or `Control + K` (Windows). You can either search for your specific column name using the search bar, or scroll down to the **Columns** section and select your column from the complete list.

The Command Palette method is perfect when you know exactly which column you want to edit, regardless of which dataset it belongs to.

## Method 3: From the Table Interface

Open the table that contains your column, then click the **settings wheel** in the upper right corner. This will display a list of all columns in that table - select the column name you want to edit.

This approach is ideal when you're actively viewing data in a table and want to make quick adjustments to how it's processed or displayed.
