Metrics to Track
Daily snapshot (today vs yesterday):
- Emails sent, open rate, reply rate, click rate
- New replies received
- Bounces and unsubscribes
- Net new leads added vs leads contacted
Weekly trend (this week vs last week):
- Total emails sent
- Average open rate across all campaigns
- Average reply rate across all campaigns
- Total replies received
- Bounce rate trend
Step-level engagement:
- Which step in each sequence gets the most opens
- Which step converts the most replies
- Steps with declining engagement compared to prior period
- A/B variant performance differences
Anomaly Detection
Flag any of these automatically:
- Open rate drops more than 15% day-over-day (possible deliverability issue)
- Reply rate spikes more than 50% (check if it's real engagement or auto-replies)
- Bounce rate exceeds 5% on any campaign
- A campaign that sent zero emails when it should be active
- A step with 0% open rate (possible tracking issue)
Trend Analysis
- Pull daily data for the last 14 days
- Calculate 7-day moving averages for open and reply rates
- Identify campaigns trending up vs trending down
- Compare weekday vs weekend performance
